Community Support Rural School Program |
| Vision: "To improve access to quality basic education for all children of remote areas through community empowerment to ensure accountability, ownership and sustainability of the program at the grassroots" CSRSP is one of the innovative programs which the NEF has introduced and through which it operates at grass roots level, promoting basic education by establishing community primary schools in rural areas. CSRSP addresses issues such as access to education, quality of education, promotion of gender equality, community participation, empowerment and sustainability. The CSRSP model is based on a two-room two-teacher concept with a flexibility of increase in teachers and classrooms with a rise in enrolment. In reality it is a tripartite partnership among NEF, local NGOs and the CBOs/ CECs, with NEF providing the funding (RS 1245 PER CHILD PER SCHOOL PER YEAR) and training. The NGOs act as facilitator and CECs run and manage the schools.
Under the program NEF has established 243 schools in remote and rural areas of ICT, FATA, FANA, AJK & Punjab |
